Seniors stay Young with our Many Recreational Amenities
Your home at The Wellington includes a wealth of recreational amenities, starting with the beautifully maintained grounds, with pond and gardens. Find the perfect spot to enjoy the sun, arrange a picnic, or take your best furry friend for a walk - smaller pets under 20 pounds are welcome.
Inside, you'll find more amenities. There is a games room, decorated with the jigsaw puzzles completed by residents. There is a combination theatre/chapel, which is used for movie nights and for on-site church services. There is an exercise room, where you can stay in shape. Best of all, there are ongoing events arranged by the friendly Wellington community. Among the most popular are our dances, with tunes played by some of Medicine Hat's best musicians.
Retirement Community for Active Adults
The Billiards Room gives you a place to sharpen your skills with a cue while enjoying the company of your fellow players. There is also a shuffleboard table -- another opportunity to practice your skill.
Our hobby centre, library and computer room are popular with our residents. For casual recreation, there is also a lounge area. A private dining room is available for special occasions, so you can have your family gather for birthdays and anniversaries.
One of our most popular amenities is the Harvest Dining Room. Professionally run, with a varied daily menu, the dining room is both a welcome service and a relaxing social centre. Under the Freedom option included with our supportive living suites, you can enjoy the daily lunch in the dining room.
The Freedom Plus option adds daily supper in the dining room, at a 20 per cent savings over the per meal cost.
In addition to our recreational facilities, we also have planned activities. You can join in or relax in your suite - the choice is yours.
The best feature of the Wellington is our strong sense of community. The Wellington is a vibrant part of Medicine Hat. At the Wellington you'll enjoy Medicine Hat's mild, chinook-warmed winters, varied shopping, restaurants, entertainment options and access to top-notch health care.
Supportive living looks after the chores, so you enjoy Freedom to Play. To see for yourself, click here or call MaryLou at 403-526-2225 to arrange a tour.
